C and HTML are the key skills. If you have any knowledge of Unix, Linux, OO, TCP*IP, socket programming, shell scripting, revision control (preferably CVS), Apache 1.3, CGI programming, HTML 4.01, CSS2, XML, RDBMSs (preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL) and RDBMS programming with
Embedded SQL and ODBC would be considered a huge advantage. My client is aware that this is a huge technical list and he does appreciate that he will not find all these skills in one person. He will though offer the opportunity for people to develop these new skills. This is a cracking contract opportunity for a national retailer. working in a small development team working on web based applications.
